Gay Lanes before the automatic scorers.

The image is cropped from another image that was a Gay Lanes advertisement in the school yearbooks. The full image can be found on the Gay Lanes page.  Found via the TSPL Digital Library which says it’s from the late 60s or early 70s.

They must be getting ready to start, one pair with the scoreboard lights on.

How many could keep score with a pencil today?  I don’t think I could.
